The midfielder looks to have put that all behind him after talks with Lennon though, as he played alongside Nir Bitton and Scott Brown in a slightly more advanced role than the one we usually see him in.
Usually deployed as one of the two holding midfielders, having Brown and Bitton behind him resulted in one of his better performances in a Hoops shirt, as he had the license to roam forward and make an impact in the final third.
