Chelsea are set to be fined by the FA after six players including unused substitute Marcus Bettinelli got booked during a heated clash against Wolves.

As Chelsea suffered yet another Premier League defeat against Wolves on Sunday, six Blues players found themselves in the referee's book including unused substitute Marcus Bettinelli. While four of them were booked during normal time, Raheem Sterling picked up a yellow card towards the end of the game along with Bettinelli who was cautioned for dissent from the bench.

As per FA rules, via the , a club that receives six or more bookings – yellow or red – will be fined. The FA disciplinary regulations state: "The Association will take disciplinary action against a Club if six or more of the Club’s Players are either cautioned or sent off in a Match falling within Category 1 or Category 3."
Other than Sterling and Bettinelli, Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer, Malo Gusto and Nicolas Jackson were cautioned during a heated clash at Molineux stadium.

Since joining the north London side from Fulham in 2021, Bettinelli has never appeared in a Premier League match and has played just one competitive game for the Blues – against Chesterfield on January 2022 in a FA Cup third-round fixture.
