Leeds United remain keen on signing striker Mbaye Diagne after a failed move for the forward in the summer, according to Turkish-Football.
What’s the word?
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side have been flying high in the Championship this season but injury problems in the attack have caused problems, as both Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford have spent time on the sidelines.
The Peacocks are keen on bolstering their forward lines in January as a result and Turkish-Football states the Yorkshire side continue to eye Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne, who has shone this season with eight goals and one assist in nine league matches.
Leeds held talks with the player’s agent during the summer but the Senegalese forward could not get a work permit to land a move to English football. However, that situation is set to change as he is due to earn an EU passport.
Do Leeds need him?
At the time of writing, Leeds have won just two of their five matches following Roofe’s injury and, although Tyler Roberts has impressed at times, Bielsa’s side needs a more clinical forward to rely on in the push for promotion.

Diagne could be that man following his impressive performances in Turkey this season, although questions will be raised as to whether he would be able to replicate that form at Leeds if he were to seal a transfer in January.
Perhaps a better option should be to sign an experienced striker who is well accustomed to English football, although finding someone who would have to play second-fiddle to Roofe and Bamford when the pair return from their respective injuries could be a challenge.
