The January transfer window is almost upon us and many must be eager to see what kind of business Jose Mourinho has in store for his first Christmas shopping spree as the new Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Of course, there’s no shortage of rumours and links as Spurs have recently been reported to have taken an interest in Lille’s 20-year-old talent, Boubakary Soumare.
The defensive midfielder would be an interesting addition to the Special One’s squad as he is young and has a potential to still develop into a future star.
For that reason, the links to him have gotten many of the fans pretty excited and they want the club to swoop for the kid.
Some of the fans have also been discussing his potential price tag that stands between €50m (£42.2m) and €60m (£50.7m). While some believe it’s quite big, others seem to think it can only go up and Spurs should scoop him up while they still can.
It seems that they feel the player is well worth the trouble anyway.

Seeing how he’s a defensive midfielder, some of the fans pictured him next to Tanguy Ndombele while others feel he could be brought in to potentially replace Eric Dier or just give him some much-needed competition.
It remains to be seen, however, whether the player truly remains on Mourinho’s radar with the winter transfer window opening in just a couple of weeks’ time.
