Loads of Charlton fans have been reacting to Lyle Taylor’s tweet, as the striker celebrated a successful first day of the new campaign.
Every now and again a promoted side marches up the football league ladder in remarkable fashion, and the Addicks will be hoping they can do just that after a superb start to their return to the second tier.
They sit third in the table after Saturday’s action, as Ben Purrington’s first-half strike started things off in style against a sturdy Blackburn Rovers side.
An unfortunate own goal for Dillon Phillips levelled things up in the second half, but Taylor took matters into his own hands, flicking a deft finish past Christian Walton with 13 minutes remaining in the match.
The 2-1 win was Tayor’s first experience in the Championship, and the step up clearly hasn’t fazed the Addicks star, who is in the last year of his contract.
The 29 year-old sent a message to fans on Twitter after the game, and the reactions are full of nothing but love for their number nine.
Take a look at some of the best reactions down below…
