Manchester City star Bunny Shaw is on the verge of breaking Georgia Stanway's goalscoring record at the club.

Shaw, 27, scored the third goal for City during their rampant 4-1 victory against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday. The Jamaican striker has now moved level with Lionesses star Stanway in terms of most goals scored for the club, with both having 67 efforts to their name.

While the personal milestones are good, Shaw's first priority would have been to secure the win for City – regardless of if she was the one to score or not.
City are now level on points with Chelsea at the top of the Women's Super League following the win, with both sides on 40 points after 16 games.

Shaw and her City team-mates will now shift focus on to a huge clash next weekend, as they get ready to face Manchester United on derby day. City secured a 2-1 win in their first meeting back in January and Gareth Taylor's side will be eager to replicate that scoreline second time round.
